Beschrijving
The river Elz near the town of Köndringen was restored in 2017 as a compensation site for railway construction. The newly restored river gives home species like IJsvogel and Kleine Plevier. Also Grote Zaagbek and Blauwe Reiger can be regularly observed here. During migration season Witgat or Watersnip can be observed along the river or the wet meadows. Even rarer species like Kleine Zilverreiger or Kwak have already been observed here.
