Pudersbach is surrounded by the wide green spaces of the Westerwald. It's a wooded area with large open spaces and fields. You can see various birds of prey like Torenvalk, Sperwer, Rode Wouw and owls like Oehoe and Bosuil. The area is also rich in different songbirds. Among the birds you can see are Matkop, Glanskop, Zwarte Mees, Vuurgoudhaan, Sijs, Staartmees, Middelste Bonte Specht, Zwarte Specht, Boomklever, Nachtegaal, Gekraagde Roodstaart, Kruisbek, Putter and Goudvink.

The best way to explore the area is by foot or by bike. Parking is available both inside and outside the town. The circular route that is shown on the map is 5,5 km long.
