All kinds of ducks during the mating season in winter, swans, geese and hunting area for the Zeearend. In Spring there is the largest Aalscholver colony where you can watch mating, breeding and feeding activity. All sorts of singingbirds can be watched, too.
The flat area surrounding the lake is perfekt for observation, plus you will find two watchtowers on opposite sides.

You get there by foot or bicycle. Sundays you can use some nearby parkinglots of the shopping centers all around.
The trail around the like is about a 5 km walk.
