Beschrijving
Moosschwaige has surprisingly varied habitats. There are reedbeds (Kleine Karekiet, Grote Karekiet), ponds and streams (Waterral, IJsvogel) with attached wetland being actively maintained by beavers. There are also woods and grassland.
Star species are Spotvogel, Grauwe Klauwier and Koekoek in the summer, Klapekster in the winter, and woodpeckers all year round, including Kleine Bonte Specht , Grijskopspecht and Zwarte Specht.

Moosschwaige is located in the west of Munich, reachable from Aubing or Freiham S-Bahn (30 minute walk). Allow at least two hours to explore. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4 km.
