Beschrijving
The Meiner Stapelteiche area consists of several small ponds with extensive reed beds and shoreline areas, as well as open water and a small wooded area. This structure offers good conditions for a variety of bird species.
Waterfowl such as Knobbelzwaan, Wilde Eend, Wintertaling, Slobeend, Grauwe Gans, Bergeend and other water birds can be well observed. Also waders like Grutto, Groenpootruiter and Witgat use the area as a rest area. The large reedbeds are suitable for species such as Rietgors and Blauwborst. During migration, the area is attractive to migratory birds. Birds of prey such as Buizerd or Rode Wouw frequently circle over the surrounding fields and meadows.
