Beschrijving
The Langwieser See is a small lake. The lake itself isn't very good for birding, but sometimes you can spot IJsvogel there. In the reed area about 100 meters east of the lake, in winter you can see for example Rietgors and sometimes also Waterral. In summer it's full of Kleine Karekiet. West to the lake, there are nice water reservoirs, which in winter often contain Bokje (best to spot with a thermal imaging camera), and sometimes Watersnip.
South to the reservoirs, there is a smal bush land with Geelgors, Putter and in winter often Keep. In the gardens and trees along the small stream you can find Sijs in winter and Gekraagde Roodstaart and Grasmus in summer. Sometimes you can also hear a Nachtegaal here.
Very good are the fields around the whole area. During migration you can see Graspieper, Bosrietzanger, Roodborsttapuit (sometimes also staying over winter), Havik, Tapuit, Gele Kwikstaart, Braamsluiper and rarely Draaihals, Kievit and Blauwe Kiekendief. All year round you will find Kneu, Veldleeuwerik, Blauwe Reiger and Torenvalk. Sometimes you can also see Patrijs, Sperwer or Slechtvalk.
