Kiesteiche Nordstemmen Nord is a complex of gravel pits west of Rössing. Breedings birds include Cetti's Zanger and Grote Karekiet. More important from October to February for wintering waterbirds. Gulls and Grauwe Gans roost in July and August. Birds you can observe in the area include Kolgans, Taigarietgans, Krakeend, Wilde Eend, Wintertaling, Kuifeend, Grote Zaagbek, Middelste Zaagbek, Dodaars, Fuut, Meerkoet, Rietgors, Kokmeeuw, Stormmeeuw, Geelpootmeeuw, Zilvermeeuw, and Pontische Meeuw.

The Kiesteiche Nordstemmen Nord are located west of the town of Rössing and north of the town of Nordstemmen. You can park along the road near the sports field. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From there you can explore the area on foot or by bike.
