Beschrijving
The Herrenteich attracts various waders (Kleine Plevier, Groenpootruiter, Zwarte Ruiter, Bosruiter, Witgat, Watersnip), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the IJsvogel, Grote Gele Kwikstaart, Zwarte Wouw, Rode Wouw and various ducks and geese. From time to time Zwarte Ooievaar, Sperwer, Havik are flying over. Now and then, Visarend, Bruine Kiekendief, and Boomvalk can also be seen.
The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.

The area is best explored on foot and free parking is available directly in front of the lake at the inn. The footbridges are freely accessible and you can enjoy a drink while watching.
