Beschrijving
The Favoritepark is a protected nature reserve in Ludwigsburg. The park mainly consists of open grass fields and forest and surrounds Schloss Favorite, a small palace once used by the former dukes and kings of Württemberg as a ‘pleasure palace’ and hunting lodge.
Favoritepark is home to many common and uncommon forest birds, like Gaai, Winterkoning, Boomklever, Grote Bonte Specht, Middelste Bonte Specht, Groene Specht and more rarely; Zwarte Specht.
Around May, there is a chance to see Withalsvliegenvanger. In summer, you can observe Gekraagde Roodstaart, Wielewaal, and Zwarte Wouw. With some luck, you might even hear or spot a Bosuil or a Grijskopspecht.
