Beschrijving
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake Grote Canadese Gans, Nijlgans, Fuut and Wilde Eend can be seen. Around the lake you can observe Groene Specht, Putter, Middelste Bonte Specht and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as Kuifeend, Tafeleend, Krakeend and with a bit of luck also Witoogeend can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
