Beschrijving
The Bordelumer Heide with its many habitats ranging from spruce forests and little ponds to heathland, provides a home to different bird species. In the forest you can find birds such as Grauwe Vliegenvanger, Kuifmees and Taigaboomkruiper. The ponds and the surrounding reed are habitats for Kleine Karekiet, Grauwe Gans and IJsvogel. Where the area is more open you can hear Boompieper sing in spring. Koekoek, Geelgors, Kleine Barmsijs and Roodborsttapuit are also breeding in the heath areas. A Slechtvalk breeds near by in the radiotower. Sometimes Zeearend are flying over the area to hunt at the coastline.
