Beschrijving
The Belziger Landschaftswiesen is home to Germany's second largest population of Grote Trap. Especially when they are courting (March till mid May) they are a spectular sight. In winter is it also a great site for Ruigpootbuizerd and Blauwe Kiekendief. Irregular but fair chance of Velduil hunting near the observation tower during twilight.

Toegang
It is possible to drive all the way up to the observation tower, but the road is unpaved and can be muddy. Alternatively one can park at the edge of Freienthal and walk approx. 2 km to the tower.
