Alter Friedhof is a small old cemetery in Flensburg with ancient trees that attract many birds. Besides the usual, common songbird species, Appelvink is particularly noteworthy. Several individuals live in the Alter Friedhof. Otherwise, typical tree-dwelling species can be found such as Boomklever, Grote Bonte Specht, Boomkruiper, and songbirds typical of gardens and parks like pigeons, crows, and thrushes like Zanglijster and Koperwiek.

Since the Alter Friedhof is located in the heart of the city of Flensburg, it is easily accessible on foot or by public transport. For example, you can take the train to Flensburg station and then a bus towards the city center. Arriving by car is also straightforward.
