Abtskücher Teich is a lake with surrounding bushes. The pond and stream provide a good environment for various waterfowl and water-loving birds. You can see IJsvogel, Aalscholver, Blauwe Reiger, Knobbelzwaan, Grote Bonte Specht, Wilde Eend and Meerkoet. Also Nutrias live here. In the surrounding fields, you can also see Vuurgoudhaan, Goudhaan, Huismus, Havik and Buizerd.

The Abtskücher Teich is located 3 km west of the town of Velbert. Parking lots are nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. There is a footpath around the pond (about 1 km).
