Along the river Ognon and the forest and lakes of Bonnal many bird species can be observed. Especially Bijeneter, Rode Wouw, Europese Kanarie, Zwarte Wouw and IJsvogel. In summer it is also possible to see big groups of Ooievaar en Buizerd. The best way to see birds at the river L'Ognon is by canoe, you can see many groups of Bijeneter breeding. Other birds you can see in the area are Middelste Bonte Specht, Groene Specht and Wespendief.
