The lake of Malsaucy, with a surface area of 55 ha, was created in the 16th century for fish farming and then served as a water reservoir for the industry of Belfort. But above all, the lake of Malsaucy presents an exceptional nature, made of a mosaic of environments. The dozens of ponds that surround Lake Malsaucy are home to many migratory birds. The site also has many trails and excellent bird observatory.

Easy parking on a big parking. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can explore the area on the trails that run from the visitor center to the bird observatory. Another way to explore the area is to walk the 10 km Sentier des Etangs (shown on the map below) that makes a wide loop and also passes many of the surrounding ponds.

Vous pouvez explorer la région sur les sentiers qui vont du centre d'accueil à l'observatoire d'oiseaux. Une autre façon d'explorer la région est de parcourir le Sentier des Etangs de 10 km (indiqué sur la carte ci-dessous) qui fait une large boucle et passe également par de nombreux étangs environnants.
