Beschrijving
Lac Amance is a large lake where many birds can be seen up close from a nice bird hide. Overlooking wide muddy areas of the lake's banks, surrounded by willows and reeds, you can spot many shorebirds. This place is also the 1st wintering place in France for Kleine Zwaan, which are coming from Siberia. In winter you can also find divers, many ducks, Nonnetje, Grote Zaagbek and Slechtvalk. In summer terns, (mainly Visdief, sometimes Zwarte Stern), and many warblers. In autumn many waders and shorebirds.
Highlight of the year: the autumn migration. When large numbers of Kraanvogel (20,000 to 40,000 birds) migrate to the surrounding areas.
