Etang David is a place filled with bush birds, especially in springtime: Zwartkop, Nachtegaal, Zomertortel are easy to find, as well as IJsvogel and Krooneend on the pond. Woodpeckers can be found on deciduous trees: Grote Bonte Specht, Kleine Bonte Specht, Groene Specht, Zwarte Specht.
The place is also a nesting area for herons: Kwak, Blauwe Reiger, Koereiger can be spotted from the pond side.
Some raptors: Zwarte Wouw, Boomvalk and with chance Rode Wouw and Slangenarend are easy to spot hunting around.
Unusual birds like Buidelmees are possible during a walk across this picturesque little place.
