In spring and fall, Anse du Galon d'Or is a good spot for Visarend. In the reeds, you can observe Graszanger and Waterral. While in the marshland, with a bit of luck, you may see Provençaalse Grasmus. There are also Regenwulp, Kleine Zilverreiger, Roodborsttapuit and, during migration species such as Paapje and Tapuit.
In the neighboring pine trees, Bonte Vliegenvanger and Grauwe Vliegenvanger hunt during migration, as well as Gekraagde Roodstaart, Fitis and other species. Duinpieper can be observed in the dunes. At high tide, gulls, terns and groups of limicoles come onto the beach. Note that you have to take a different route along the inside of the bay at high tide. See a link to the tide table below.

Anse du Galon d'Or is located west of the town of Ronce-les-Bains. You can park on the Parking du Galon d'Or. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. There is also a beautiful cycle path (Parcours Vélo N°4) through the forest (forêt domaniale de la Coubre). The circular route shown on the map is about 2 km.
