The lake is easily accessible both by foot and public transport while in Aalborg. The west and south side is a bit steep, but this gives a good view of the lake. Roodhalsfuut, Fuut, Waterhoen, Meerkoet, Knobbelzwaan Wilde Eend, Kuifeend, Tafeleend, Staartmees can all be found in the area.
