Bognæs is a protected peninsula at the southern end of Roskilde Fjord, known for its salt marshes, reed marshes and forest areas. Bognæs is part of the Skjoldungernes Land National Park. Several birds breed in the area for example Grote Zilverreiger, Holenduif and Zeearend.
In winter, a large number of ducks rest in Roskilde Fjord: Knobbelzwaan, Wilde Zwaan, Grote Zaagbek, Brilduiker, Kuifeend, etc. There is also the possibility of Zeearend and other birds of prey.

Toegang
Bognæs is located about 10 km northwest of the town of Roskilde. Cars are not allowed. Car parking at the entrance to the peninsula. Press P on the map for directions to the car park. From the car park you can explore the area on foot or bring a bicycle. You can follow the marked route on the map. It is a long walk of 9-10 km, and requires good footwear.
