Beschrijving
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Baardman and there are nesting some other rare birds like Woudaap , Blauwborst and Roodmus. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Tapuit , Snor , Zwartkopmeeuw , Visarend and sometimes even Waterrietzanger and Zwartkoprietzanger.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Bonte Strandloper , Kemphaan , Kleine Strandloper , Krombekstrandloper , Zwarte Ruiter , Bosruiter and some other. Also you can observe Porseleinhoen or Waterral.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Baardman and if you are lucky you can see wintering Roerdomp or Frater .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Grauwe Franjepoot , Steenloper , Terekruiter , Grutto , Kanoet , Reuzenzwartkopmeeuw , Grote Stern , Noordse Stern , Roodstuitzwaluw , Steppekiekendief , Vorkstaartmeeuw , Waterrietzanger , Zwartkoprietzanger and many others.

The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
