At the mouth of the river Fakiyska waders and several heron species (Blauwe Reiger, Ralreiger, Lepelaar, Kleine Zilverreiger and Grote Zilverreiger) can be seen feeding in the shallow water. Open fields attract Tapuit, pipits and Grauwe Klauwier, and woodlands attract various warblers and other passerines. In season, there will be various raptors on migration.

The mouth of the river Fakiyska is located south of the city of Burgas, between the villages of Dimchevo and Prisad. Unofficial parking is possible where a farm track meets the road - take care not to obstruct access. From here the track provides easy foot access to viewpoints over open water and to woodlands. The site has no facilities, so take appropriate clothing and water.
