The polders van Kruibeke is a varied landscape of mud flats and salt marshes, alder brook forest and meadows.
Ducks an geese like Brandgans , Grauwe Gans , Bergeend , Slobeend and Wintertaling but also a lot of IJsvogel can be seen on the meadow and creeks all year around, roe deers are also often seen on the meadows.
in the winter there are less birds than in the rest of the year, but then you have a chance to see some more rare birds like Klapekster and Buidelmees . In spring there is already more to see. Fuut come back to breed, but also Kluut , Kemphaan , Lepelaar and many other birds come back. Woudaap and Kwak are the rarer birds that breed in the polders of kruibeke.
During spring and autum migration you can see birds like the Visarend and Zeearend.

There is a boat from Hoboken and Hemiksem that goes to Kruibeke for free, you can go by bike and on foot on the boat. You can also go with the car to the parking. The route you see on the map is about 16 km.
