Most of the time people visit this nature reserve during the summer. But also during the winter and migration period you can see intersting bird species. The area is famous for the Nachtzwaluw which you can see during the summer but in the winter you can see the Klapekster. Other birds you can encounter in the area are Brilduiker, Visarend, Boomvalk, Smelleken, Zwarte Ooievaar, Boomklever, Raaf, Kraanvogel, Zwarte Specht and Bosuil. Rare visitors are Zeearend, Duinpieper, Purperreiger and Steltkluut.
