Beschrijving
The 12 hectares of the area consist of four former fish ponds in the Molenbeek valley. The ponds have been managed in a nature-friendly way for ten years. They are a good place to make the first spring observations of Dodaars , Fuut , IJsvogel , Kleine Karekiet , Aalscholver . During the winter half-year, in addition to modest numbers of Kuifeend, Tafeleend, Wintertaling are present. Other species are seen to a lesser extent Krakeend, Slobeend, Zomertaling , Woudaap.
In recent years many rareties were seen during migration, like Geoorde Fuut, Roerdomp, Buidelmees ,Ralreiger.
