Beschrijving
The Schlatzingeraue Natur Park is located in the center of the Maltatal and consists of a small resting area surrounded with wet grasslands and forests next to the river. A small track leads you around the grassland and next to the river, where species such as Grote Gele Kwikstaart and Waterspreeuw can be seen. Small patches of bushes and scattered trees are great for songbirds, like Zwartkop and Taigaboomkruiper and woodpeckers, like Grote Bonte Specht.
The grassland has several patches with bushes in which species, such as Braamsluiper, can be found. With a bit of luck, a Grauwe Klauwier might show up here too! The forests, mainly pine, are great for species such as Kuifmees, Zwarte Mees and Vuurgoudhaan. Also, fairly large numbers of Notenkraker can be found here too!

The area has been appointed as resting area and provides a parking lot and several picknick areas. There's a small path surrounding the wet grassland area and next to the river.
