Beschrijving

Reynoldson’s Flora Reserve displays a stunning array of wildflower colours between October and December each year when the wildflowers are in bloom; in particular, its spectacular featherflowers.

This remnant small parcel of near pristine bushland acts as an avian magnet lying, as it does, in an ocean of grainbelt monoculture.

The reserve can be productive all year round but peaks in late spring with the wildflowering. Sought after arid-land birds that can occur include White-backed Swallow (look around the sandpit at the south end), Crimson Chat, Rufous Songlark, Black Honeyeater and Pied Honeyeater.

Toegang

Reynoldson’s Flora Reserve lies just north of Wongan Hills; a two-and-a-half-hour drive north of Perth. The track is one-way with the start at the north end. Press P on the map to access Google mapping.

There is no formal parking along the hard sand drive (2WD vehicles will be fine) but is easiest at the sandpit at the south end. Anywhere else, park to the side of the track.
