Beschrijving
Putta Bucca Wetlands is a disused quarry that has been transformed into a birdrich wetland. It is fed by underground aquifers and bordered by the Cudgegong River. Over 200 bird species have been recorded. There is a 2 km loop walk that’s easy and accessible, with two bird hides.
It is a pleasant walk throught the woodland and around the lakes. It can turn up some surprising species such as Glossy Black-Cockatoo, Black-eared Cuckoo and various woodswallows and waxbills.
