Beschrijving
This very attractive open woodland site is promising for a number of 'sought after' birds including Southern Scrub-Robin , Copperback Quail-thrush, Regent Parrot, Pink Cockatoo and White-backed Swallow.
In spring, after a good winter, the woodland understory transforms into a treasure of wildflowers featuring a number of eremophila species.

Note - a caution. Most of the suggested route is 'off-track'.
Unless intending to just bird close to the quarry, birders need to be confident of their bush navigation skills.
The route suggested is just that, a suggestion. Note that it is important to return to the 'quarry track' near where the route departs to the east as there are thick impenetrable scrub-heaths along most of the track that will block access back onto it at many places.
Use of a hand held GPS unit and a compass is strongly advised.
