Beschrijving

Lake Pollard is located in Yalgorup National Park. This national park consists of 10 elongated lakes with tuart and peppermint woodlands. It is included in the RAMSAR international wetland agreement, as it is an important area for migratory waterbirds. From about October to April, the lakes provide important habitat for the international shorebirds that migrate from the northern hemisphere.

The six kilometre out and back walk to Lake Pollard takes approximately two-hour. This walk takes in tuart, peppermint and grasstree outcrops. A small track leads to a bird hide, which sits on stilts at the edge of the lake overlooking Lake Pollard. Best time of year April to November.
