Beschrijving
Black Head is good for seabirds including four Australian Cormorant species, Shearwaters, Gannet, Terns & Gulls. Sooty and Pied Oystercatcher are common. Occasionally migratory shorebirds like Ruddy Turnstone, Double-banded Plover and Pacific Golden Plover can be observed. Albatross are far less common here but Black-browed has been observed. Australasian Pipit can be found on the grassy headland near the carpark and to the north.
Good access through residential streets. Swimming beach, cafe and toilets nearby. The small parking area is free.

Black Head is located about 2 hours south of Sydney in the northern Shoalhaven region. Ten minutes south of the town of Gerringong. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates.
