Djimla Forest is also known as Forêt de Bouafroune. The forest sits at an elevation of 1,287 meters. It is a mixed forest with clearings where Algerijnse Boomklever and Atlasvliegenvanger can be observed. Other birds that have been spotted include Vale Gier, Slangenarend, Dwergarend, Maghrebbosuil, Hop, Bijeneter, Levaillants specht, Raaf and Wielewaal.

Djimla Forest is located south of the town of Djimla (marked with 1 on the map). It is best to explore the forest with a guide. There are local bird guides in Djimla (Karim Haddad: karim241267@yahoo.fr, Walid Soukkou: soukkouw@yahoo.com).
