Description

Barnegat Light is situated on the northern tip of Long Beach Island. For birding it is best to visit this site in winter. The jetty is an awesome place to look for wintering Purple Sandpiper, Dunlin, Common Eider, Long-tailed Duck, Harlequin Duck and Red-breasted Merganser. Good place to scan the ocean and with luck can find Razorbill, and some of the rare wintering ducks like King Eider.
