Description
Shut Heath Wood is known for its large old Oaks Standards. Also Sweet Chestnuts, Hornbeam coppice and Hazel. The south east corner can lay wet most of the year and can attract шумска шљука. This is one of the key species of this small woodland and does attract birdwatchers in early spring. Winter and early spring is a handy because of the leafless trees.

Shut Heath Wood is located near Great Totham. The woodland is found off Tiptree Rd from Great Braxted Village to Wickham Bishop. A small road leads to a small car park area. Press P on the map for directions.
