Large freshwater loch in the mountainous western highlands, with 30 forested islands where мал морски нуркач and белец breed on the shoreline.

Pine marten are fairly common in the area and may visit the feeders in the car parks. Red deer, roe deer and red squirrels, possibly wild cat.
There are several parking spots along the main road. The site is 60 miles west of Inverness and 105 miles north of Fort William. Boat trips available from the Maree Hotel.
