This patch of water is often visited by migrant birds, ducks, geese and waders.
Kelling Quag is a patch of water in an area also known as Kelling Water Meadows. The norm is to park next to The Old Reading Room cafe (or, if you use this excellent cafe, ask to leave car). Walk north along track towards sea. On the right (east) there are always loads of hares as well as обична бекасина, мала бекасина and waders. Next is a large scrape pool which has been great for Red-necked Phalarope, Red Phalarope, ducks geese, etc. Has been known for Синогушка, блатен трскар, shrikes and a multitude of rarer birds.
Parking where stated it is an easy 6km round trip. Easy going.
