Description

The area comprises of a large area of heathland with both deciduous and conifer woodland.

(*1), from around the car park area scan for overflying глувчар, Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка, јастреб врапчар and црвена луња. During the Summer осојад are sometimes seen. More open areas have can have горски гулаб, имелов дрозд, зелен клукајдрвец, ливадска трепетилка, полска чучулига and шумска чучулига. Gorse (Ulex) patches have Dartford Warbler and планинско ливадарче.

(*2), Broadleaved woodland here hold дебелоклун црешар, мал клукајдрвец, Обичен (Шумски) лазач, обичен ползач. In Summer грлица, сиво муварче, лисесто циганче, обичен свиркач, црноглаво грмушарче and кукавица can all be expected. Birch (Betula) trees can attract обично ливадарче, шумски свиркач, градинарско грмушарче, брезов свиркач, Lesser Whitethroat, конопјарче, зимовка and дологоопашеста сипка.

(*3), Court Copse area, scattered scrub here on the North edge of the copse, have 'roding' шумска шљука and 'churring" козодој in the evenings. More open areas have ливадска трепетилка and полска чучулига, scattered trees can have шумска чучулига and шумска трепетилка.

Be sure to check any scrubland for жолтогрла стрнарка, планинско ливадарче, конопјарче, обично грмушарче and Lesser Whitethroat. Conifers around the site can have жолтоглаво кралче, црвеноглаво кралче, елова сипка, елова зелентарка and the occasional Крстоклун.

Access

Leave the M27 motorway at junction 2, on roundabout take exit signed Salisbury/Romsey/Fawley/A36, at next roundabout take second exit signed Salisbury/Plaitford/Wellow/A36. Continue on this road turning Left at sign for Bradshaw, pass over cattle grid onto Black Hill Road. Continue on this road and large car park (free) is on the Left.
