Marshy valley of the river Cefni near Llangefni. The NE area (Cors Ddyga) is an RSPB reserve. The whole area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Cors Ddyga and Malltraeth Marsh is one of the largest lowland wetlands in Wales with lakes, ponds, ditches, reedbeds and grasslands. The grassland supports one of the largest colonies of калуѓерка in Wales. The area contains also обична бекасина, барска кокошка, полски трскар, голема бела чапја, мала бела чапја and varied raptors - Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка, мал сокол, сокол ластовичар, блатна еја, сив сокол, глувчар, црвена луња, блатен був, орел рибар and гавран. Pink-footed Goose, морски кожувар and среден северен нуркач visit in winter.
Easy access from the A5 or A55 roads. Cycling is a very effective way of getting around the narrow lanes that crisscross the reserve. Nearest bus stop is at Pentre Beirw near the RSPB reserve. The reserve entrance is at the west end of Caerau Street but there does not appear to be car parking here. Note: Much of the reserve floods in winter.
