Cheddar Reservoir is 'sandwiched' between Axbridge and Cheddar.
This reservoir being reasonably close to the Bristol Channel can get storm blown Diver and Grebe species and has a reputation for Iceland Gull and Glaucous Gull overwintering. You can also expect a good number of other duck species.
The A371 runs right past the reservoir. A car park is right next to the reservoir. Note: be sure to check open areas of farmland to the West of reservoir for кукумјавка and playing fields to the East for resting Gull species. You can make a circular walk (3,6 km) around the reservoir.
BE AWARE that Cheddar Wood to the North requires a permit from Somerset Wildlife Trust, due mainly to it's Red Data Book plant species.
