Description

Balcary Bay to Rascarrel has a diverse range of habitats. Sea cliff birds include Northern Fulmar, Common Guillemot, Black Guillemot, Razorbill, тропрст галеб, планинско ливадарче, Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка, Rock Pipit and црвеноклуна галка. At sea, look for Common Scoter, Northern Gannet, Common Eider and divers. Access

From Dumfries take A711 SW for 15 miles. Car parking at Balcary or Rascarrel. Click on the P in the map for directions. From Dalbeattie, bus 505 runs 7 times a day to Auchencairn.

The circular walk is 4 and 1/2 miles. NB the clifftop section is narrow and steep. Avoid if you have balance problems, children or dogs, also on windy days .
