Description
Stockviken is one of the best birding areas on Gotland. It has two different areas: an inland lake ("inre") with a watchtower and a bay ("ytre"). You can see ducks, geese, белоопашест орел, обично камењарче, terns, reedbirds and waders. Many rare species have been seen here over the years. The area's nesting birds include waders such as црвенонога тринга, остригар, бојник, голем српоклун свиркач, црноопашна блатарка, сабјарка and обичен свиркач, but also other species such as мала чигра, касписка рибарка and Arctic Tern. Especially in spring – from early April to mid-May – but also during autumn – mainly in October – thousands of Barnacle Goose can be seen in the area.
