Description
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example камењарче, мал свиркач, бел свиркач, Red Knot, бојник, блатен свиркач, белоопашест свиркач, Bar-tailed Godwit and сиво блатарче. Also several pairs of мала чигра are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are морски пескар, Tibetan Sand Plover, блатна тринга, Lesser Yellowlegs and Pectoral Sandpiper.
In winter time islandic црвенонога тринга and northern среден пескар and sometimes Purple Sandpiper can be seen.

Access
If going by bus, take number 1 from Trelleborg train staion to Trelleborg Drivgarnet and walk. Unfortunately its a quite long walk but the last bit you can walk by the sea.
If going by car follow road E6 and turn S towards Fredshög and Stavstensudde.
