Skillingaryds Dämme was built as a water treatment plant. Measures taken in recent years have resulted in a new wetland and wet meadows. The new environment with shallow ponds and bushes attracts birds like барска кокошка, зеленонога блатна кокошка, бела тресиопашка, мал пескар, брегова ластовичка, рибарче, речна тринга and четириока патка.
