Description
Sjötorpasjön is a good place to see wetland birds during much of the year. The surroundings (deciduous forests and farmland) are also interesting. Among the breeders are цуцулест нуркач, црвеноклун лебед, блатна еја and in some years голем воден бик,црвеноврат нуркач and мустаклеста сипка. Other breeders in the neighbourhood are црвена луња , мал клукајдрвец, дологоопашеста сипка and жолто гушанче. During migration periods large flocks of дива гуска , Canada Goose , Дива патка and патка берија stay at the lake, often including the odd duck or goose species.
From the birding tower you may see several raptors, especially глувчар, гаќест глувчар, црвена луња, црна луња, орел рибар and белоопашест орел.
