Description
Lugnesjön nature reserve is a beautiful nature area with a lake surrounded by lush deciduous forest. The shallow and nutritious lake of Lugnesjön is attractive for birds, and is inhabited by among others езерски галеб, цуцулест кожувар, четириока патка, барска кокошка, цуцулест нуркач and ушест нуркач. The forest is good for different species of woodpecker and other forest birds. In the southern part of the reserve there are walking and cycling paths. By the lake there are two bird observation towers, one of which is handicapped accessible.

Access
Lugnesjön nature reserve is located just a few kilometers from the center of Söderhamn. From the E4 (entrance to Söderhamn): Turn right at the roundabout against Sandarne. Follow Tvärleden past Hällåsens sports facility and drive straight ahead at the next roundabout. Direct after the villa area on the right side, a forest road goes towards Lugnesjön. Park at the end of the road. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the car park, where there is an information board set up, a path continues east through the entire area. The path is wide and easily accessible wheelchair and bicycle. In the reserve there are two bird observation towers, the western one of which is wheelchair accessible. By the lake eastern part there is a rest area with tables, benches and barbecue area. A marked path runs along the northern and western part of the lake leads to the parking lot.
