Description

Adventdalen is a 30-kilometer-long valley on Svalbard, close to Longyearbyen, the largest settlement in Svalbard. Because of the of the risk of Polar Bear encounters it is not allowed to go outside the village of Longyearbyen without a rifle or an armed guard. Adventdalen is outside the village, so this area can only be visited by car and/or with an armed guard to watch local birds safely.
