Description
Parque Forestal Valdebebas - Felipe IV consists of a young forest of native vegetation, though an area to the south does have older trees. Most of the area is dominated by stone pines, which hold all of the common birds of the area. The park has several streams and and two small lakes. These attract birds such as планинска тресиопашка, сипка торбарка, барска кокошка (uncommon), рибарче and sometimes лисеста гусковидна патка. Some other ducks, like сива патка, might occasionally show up. Waders, such as шарена тринга can also appear. There have been records of Чурулин. During winter, the top part of the park is very good for лисест дрозд, with дрозд боровинкар also being present. Some raptors like црн мршојадец might fly over, but this isn't a good spot for them. кукумјавка is present, however, the park is closed at night, making other owl species sightings scarce. сив жерав might ocassionally fly over during winter.

You can access the park from the Valdebebas urbanisation. There are multiple entrances.

Beware that some areas of the park might be crowded during the weekends, and unleashed dogs might scare birds. Mammals, such as the Grenada Hare or sometimes even Red Fox (very rare), are also present here.
