Swan Lake is a place of mass wintering of жолтоклун лебед and other waterfowl. This is a unique phenomenon for Siberia.

Description

You can observe waterfowl in the reserve from November to the end of March in the entourage of the Siberian winter, sometimes it is at a temperature of minus forty degrees and below. The main mass of birds is a жолтоклун лебед and Дива патка. But you can also see четириока патка, голем северен нуркач, in small numbers there are црвеноклун лебед and Tundra Swan. Numerous воден ќос feed along the banks of ice-free streams. Here you can see Long-tailed Rosefinches, Azure Tit, Уралска утва, Grey Bullfinch and other Siberian birds.

Access

There is an air service from Moscow to Barnaul, then the best option is a taxi. You can rent a car (from Barnaul to the reserve is 220 km). There are hotels near the reserve.
