Żwirownia Brzegi has a large colony of езерски галеб on the island, and мала чигра and речна чигра also nest there. The terrain is varied: shrubs, grasses, deciduous trees, ponds. Among the other birds you can encounter are Egyptian Goose, Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка, голем северен нуркач, обичен трскар, црноврат нуркач and зимовка.
